About

Twelve years of helping Winnipeg families settle in — now I help them find the house.

I'm Rubina Atif, a REALTOR® with Royal LePage Prime Real Estate. For more than twelve years I've worked with Winnipeg families — in community programs, in classrooms, and across the sales floor — long before I ever handed over a set of keys.

I spent years as a program coordinator with the Canadian Muslim Women's Institute and, before that, with the Islamic Social Services Association (ISSA), helping families navigate services, budgets, paperwork and the very ordinary stress of starting over in a new city. I also worked as a sales and leasing consultant at McNaught Buick GMC, and earlier as an elementary school principal and teacher in Winnipeg, China, the UK and Pakistan.

Those roles taught me the same lesson over and over: people trust you when you listen first, explain clearly, and follow through. That's what I bring to every showing, every offer, and every closing.

I speak five languages — English, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi and Mandarin — which means I can sit down with your whole family and make sure everyone actually understands the contract, not just the person who signs it.

Winnipeg is a city of neighbourhoods, and each one has its own rhythm and its own pricing quirks. Wolseley doesn't behave like Sage Creek. A 1912 character home in Crescentwood needs a different inspection conversation than a two-year-old build in Bridgwater. I've walked enough of both to tell you honestly what you're taking on.

What makes my approach different

I'll talk you out of a house. If the foundation, the price or the timing is wrong for you, I'll say so — even when it costs me a commission. A client who trusts me is worth more than a fast deal.

You get me, not a team member. I keep my client list intentionally small. The person who answers your text at 8pm is the same person who negotiates your offer.

Numbers, in writing. Before you make an offer you'll have comparable sales, estimated closing costs and my honest read on the property's resale — so the decision is yours, informed.
